Letter to my Freshman Self

Pamela! I can't believe your only thirteen! Honestly, I think you were better then than I am now. You did so well in school, kept up with your diet and exercise, still did piano and had unlimited opportunities. I always think back and wish that I could start over. But since you can only move forward, I can give you what I know now. Which isn't much different from what I knew then.

1. Don't be afraid to do what you want.
Don't be shy to tell people exactly how you feel and what you're good at. But remember to not let your head get too big.
Opportunities won't be given if no one knows that you want it.
Just go for it. For EVERYTHING. ;)
2. STOP PROCRASTINATING
I'm probably still continuing doing this until the day I die, but try to limit it as much as possible! Just because things aren't perfect and isn't in the most desirable conditions, you have to just do it. Sorry, man.
3. Grades ARE important.
I think you started slacking sophomore year of high school. WHY?!
4. Have fun at dances!
It's so much more fun when you don't care of what people think. Who cares if they think you're epileptic? Remember, you don't have to impress anyone. It's you who's important.

Okay, so since it's 2011, the style was different back then. BUT, I'll admit, you still had killer style! Just remember to get your pants hemmed or at least cuff them! Other than that, don't fall off the scholar wagon and keep doin you, boo!

Love,
Pamela Nguyen of 2015

PS. You're my favorite person in the whole world :)

My freshman self along with my close friend and cousin!
