The American Dream is A Hoax

American Dream Hoax

The American dream is a hoax not a dream.  Society forces humans to believe that the ideal lifestyle is the American dream. We mistake the American dream for happiness in the future. You work your butt off to be wealthy, establish a well-kept family, buy the most enormous house, and own tons of exotic and luxurious cars. All for what? Isn't it all for show or social reputation? Ask yourself what do you gain spiritually. As prestigious as it sounds; what is the purpose or the accomplishment?

As for young teenagers like I, society exposes to us that the American dream will give us substantial income and peacefully living until the day of death. All we seem to care about is being rich and boasting about it rather than looking for what truly makes ourselves happy. Teenagers post pictures of houses and cars on social media, tagging #lifegoals and #cargoals. If we lose sight on spirituality, we will never earn satisfaction from divinity. Life's purpose is not being the wealthiest or most cynical. School doesn't go in depth about it but it is your job to discover it.

Not long ago, I fantasized about the American dream. It was all I ever wanted. To be rich and bear a societally perfect family. It was yet until I observed the wealthy families around me. They were so greedy, they became fraudulent crooks. They spent a couple thousands dollar like it was no big deal. Their persistent ambition caused them to do what they could for money. Some went bankrupt and some went to jail. So in the end, what did they earn?

So I say, "do what you want to". As long as it improves you as an individual, strive for it. The hoax can only get you as far financially but not divine satisfaction. Experience divinity, find your purpose in life, and divert away from being materialistic.
